Bergamo 2.035 – A new urban concept

Bergamo 2.035 is an interdisciplinary research project promoted by Italcementi Foundation and the University of Bergamo, in collaboration with Harvard University and the partnership of the City of Bergamo.
The project aims to expand the current concept of smart cities, establishing an environment in which innovative technologies and solutions are developed in parallel with new inclusive social models, where citizens - " smarter citizens" - become active agents of change to improve the environment urban.
The Bergamo 2.035 program aims to capitalize on not only the economic and industrial heritage, but also the cultural and socialedella cities, focusing on the future citizens, considering them an integral part of a conscious creative class of their role in society, witnesses of an evolutionary process continuous and capable of combining existing elements with new connections and useful.
